EcoQuell
EcoQuell is a proposed rainwater harvesting system designed to provide reliable water for wildlife in drought-prone areas. Compact, solar-powered units would use high-efficiency panels to capture rain, filter it through multi-stage purification (sediment removal, UV treatment, bio-filtration), and store it in reservoirs. Smart sensors would release water gradually into natural or artificial troughs during dry periods, mimicking seasonal patterns to support natural behaviours. Adaptable for savannas, deserts, or outbacks, each unit prioritises minimal footprint, wildlife-safe access (ramps, perches), and remote monitoring. Vision: sustainable water points that reduce scarcity-driven conflict and help ecosystems recover.

Smart Barrier Systems
Smart Barrier Systems are conceptual lightweight, modular barriers to replace harmful fencing (e.g., barbed wire) and protect wildlife from roads, farms, and harsh conditions. Built from cost-effective, fire-retardant composites, sections are collapsible from either side for flood pass-through while remaining sturdy in normal conditions. Solar-powered with battery backup, they include sensors to detect threats and guide animals toward safe crossings (tunnels or proposed subterranean routes). Rainwater is funnelled into attachable, filtered drinking wells. Rangers would patrol, maintain, and gently direct animals as needed.
Off-road applications include windbreaks, additional drinking points, and optional low-energy warming elements for cold nights. Vision: adaptive, animal-friendly barriers that reduce roadkill, prevent injury, and support free movement across habitats.

VitaPass
VitaPass envisions a network of dedicated wildlife underpasses beneath roads and barriers to restore safe migration corridors. Constructed from durable, eco-friendly materials with natural ventilation and native planting cover, tunnels feature soft solar-powered lighting, flood-resistant drainage, and wildlife-only access. Motion/thermal sensors enable remote monitoring; rangers maintain cleanliness and security without disturbing animals. Sized for small mammals to larger species, they include traction surfaces and neutral materials to encourage natural use.
Vision: seamless, illuminated passages that eliminate roadkill, reconnect fragmented habitats, and allow wildlife to move freely and safely.
